travl'lin.
Today, I head up to NYC to chill with the folks at the Grungecake Crisis [site]. This is a new dope international mag with beautiful art direction and some glorious features. I'm happy to be a part of their next issue (coming out in January if you pre-order now). I haven't been up to NYC since a couple days before I left for Tokyo, but it's like my 2nd city, Philly being the main residence. 08' has been full of wonder. Each day, I feel closer to the ideal. It doesn't come without nights of zero sleep, or days you'd rather be at home. I can't put all my eggs into the basket with 2009, but I will say it will be eventful and evident of my determination to grow carried over from 2008. Even with mistakes in tow, I couldn't really ask for much more from this past year. From the sessions with Georgia & Dudley in the spring, the endless summer and building up the Suzi $oundspace, to Obama and the last five months in Tokyo up until this point, it's all love working. So, I'll end my year as I want it to continue on, building it day by day with genuine intentions, letting my skills and passion rule the way. Tomorrow, I leave for L.A. Could you believe I've never been in my life? The Worldwide Analogue Initiative is headed West. Staying busy is the mode right now, so in that tradition: Come out if you're in the area & also possibly reading this...& also possibly have an open night. If I don't post before New Year's, blessings to you and yours and I wish success and prosperity in 2009. +$@ Labels: GandD, Grungecake Crisis Magazine, ill year, Los Angeles, New Year, Obama, suzi analogue

adjust contrast.
I'm trying to do a good job at being back in the United States. So far, since being back, my accomplishments have included Pizza Hut Breadsticks, 2 meatless chicken bugers, limeade from Honey's, and one glazed donut. It's not been so easy for me though. My body is still backwards stuck on Tokyo time, and I sleep all day- not like the lazy kind of sleep when I don't have anything to do...more like the kind when you pass out and wake up at 5pm and go..."wtf is the sun going down?" It hasn't stopped me though. Spent a couple days in Philly with Knowledge , Dev [Deowledge//Loud On Da Block] (who came all the way from Portland just to vibe), worked out a handful of tracks between the two, (be on the lookout for an upcoming mix) had the best chai tea in the universe at Random Tea Room in NoLibs, took a couple hundred pictures, 15% of which could probably be used for blackmail in the future. All this before I had unpacked a thing. mind stopped by for a guest appearance & tech support. Now I'm down in Va. on family time. I have a bunch of heartwarming pictures of friends and moms and babies and all, but left the connection at home- so bear with me on the picture tip until I return to Philly ( Dec. 28th). It's insane to think this year is almost through...what a time.... 9 days until L.A..... +$@ Labels: Beats, Boca Burger, Dev, Honey's, Knowledge, Loud On Da Block, Philly, Pizza Hut, Random Tea Room

ground control.
Preparing for lift-off from Tokyo in 4 days. Not sure if I've been here long enough or too long... But I have a lot of love for it all. Ahh- Drop Mag [http://www.dropsnap.jp/pc/snap.php?p=480] showed u$ love: So did My Mood Is Music :-P Click here to read the interview. The other night, I think the last tights of this kind found me on Earth.... I am listening to Stevo's Another Space Oddysy. I just watched Kamikaze Girls - the Japanese girl-powered version of Amelie. Coma-chi is coming in a few hours to record a new song (we already have one down). I have not even thought about packing. I have 758.2 MB of space left on my BlackBook. A beautiful mess I've created here. xo +$@ Labels: Amelie, Chanel, Coma-Chi, Drop Magazine, Interview, My Mood Is Music, Stevo

today we.
+ got stopped by Tokyo street fashion editors (love to Rid Snap, Color Management, DROP, Streets & Fruits) + got hood love. + found a 300 yen bottle of wine. + began to boycott the Chanel boutique on 57th Street (bougie broads). + got lost trying to find the Applebum exhibition (which makes us sad). +found the illest Analogue ring in La Foret. + discovered the number 1 difference between any U.S. city and Tokyo. + Wyled out at Comme des Garcons. + had a lot of good ideas. + found a massive hidden graphic wall & shot. + found a MEAN set of nails. + went to the Prada prism-store in Aoyama. + watched the Kanye/Hype Williams video for 'Heartless' Which reminded us a lot of the Tupac "Do For Love" video. Oh, Ye... + freestyled about 8 times (and counting). Lived & dreamt all in the same breath. What did you do today? xo +$@ Labels: $uzi analogue, Applebum, Chanel, Comme Des Garcons, hood love, Kanye, MCM, Prada, Tokyo
