This is by far the most intriguing new piece. I picked it up just admiring the pages of art. Turns out that this is the official program guide for the MTV Music Awards ceremony that year, for the guests who attended. Christian Slater was the host, and along the list of nominees included Annie Lennox, Janet Jackson, Digable Planets, Dr. Dre and more. The theme of the program was dope. In 1993, MTV set out to spread a message of unity and challenge discrimination in the world, so they included art from many different sponsors that spoke to their message. Hence, "You Can't Judge A Book By It's Cover". The bittersweet beauty of this is that I don't think we'll ever see an MTV like this again in our lifetimes. This is before sole profits and media censorship ruled what we saw on tv.

The last score, Spring 2009 issue of Viral Status Magazine [site]. A new print publication created by emerging NYC designer, Castro. VS has an ill concept, clean design, and good content...the core of any leading mag. Bonus points, they featured me in a section... I had no idea. Could it be we're making history one print at a time? Online is cool, but print lives forevr. Vive la mag.
